Osi is a persimmon dried over fire, also called hwasi. It is the same fruit as the persimmon in the crop guide: where sun-dried baeksi became today's gotgam, osi is the one darkened by smoke and heat. The Donguibogam recorded its nature as warm.

  1. 卽火乾者, 一名火柿. 性煖. 主殺毒.

    This is the fire-dried kind, also called hwasi (火柿). Its nature is warm. It chiefly kills toxin.

    HomiclubOsi is persimmon dried over fire. If baeksi, the sun-dried kind, is today's gotgam, then osi is the version darkened by heat and smoke.

  2. 療金瘡火瘡. 生肉止痛, 可斷下. 《本草》

    It treats wounds from metal blades and burns. It raises new flesh, stops pain, and can cut off diarrhea. 《Boncho (本草)》
