Baeksi is the sun-dried persimmon, the Korean gotgam. It is the same fruit as the crop guide's persimmon, peeled and hung until a white bloom settles on the surface, which is where the name comes from. The text also records it as geonsi and hwangsi.

卽日乾者, 性冷一云平. 溫補, 厚腸胃, 健脾胃, 消宿食.
This is the sun-dried kind; its nature is cold, though one account calls it neutral. It supplements warmly, thickens the intestines and stomach, strengthens the spleen and stomach, and dissolves stale food.
HomiclubBaeksi is the sun-dried persimmon, today's gotgam. The fruit is peeled and hung to dry, and a white bloom settles on the surface, giving it the name 'white persimmon.'
