Yaja is the fruit of the coconut palm. Inside the hard shell sit the white meat and the milky liquid; the market sells the same thing today as coconut milk and coconut oil. Donguibogam says it comes from the hot lands beyond the southern sea and marked it with 唐, an import through China.
