桃葉 Boksunga Ip (복숭아 잎)

Doyeop is the leaf of the peach tree. In the Donguibogam's fruit section the peach is split across several sub-entries, one each for the fruit, the kernel, the flower, and the skin fuzz. This is the one that takes up the leaf.

  1. 除尸蟲, 出瘡中蟲.

    It removes sichung (尸蟲, corpse worms) and draws out worms from within sores.

    HomiclubPeach leaves are long and willow-like with a pointed tip and fine teeth along the margin. They crowd the branches and cast dense shade in summer.

  2. 治小兒中惡客忤. 《本草》

    It treats jungak (中惡, malignity strike) and gaego (客忤, visiting-guest offense) in small children. 《Boncho (本草)》
