  1. 卽李子也. 味甘美者可啖, 味苦者入藥.

    This is none other than ija (李子, the plum). Those sweet and pleasant in taste may be eaten, while the bitter ones go into medicine.

    HomiclubIja is the Chinese-character name for the plum. The Korean word jadu is understood to come from jado (紫桃), meaning purple peach.

  2. 除骨節間勞熱及痼熱, 益氣. 但不可多食. 《本草》

    It removes noyeol (勞熱, taxation heat) and long-standing heat between the joints, and boosts qi. But it must not be eaten in quantity. 《Boncho (本草)》
