瓜子 Chamoe Ssi (참외 씨)
Gwaja is the seed of the oriental melon. It sits in the vegetable section of Dongui Bogam as a sub-entry under the melon, followed in turn by the leaf, the flower, the wild melon and the white winter gourd. The book has the seeds sun-dried and pounded, then wrapped in three layers of paper and pressed to squeeze the oil out.
