蘆筍 Asparagus

Asparagus is a perennial vegetable grown for the young spears that push up from the crown, the same asparagus in the crop guide. It comes from the Mediterranean and the spears are cut in spring. Donguibogam does not carry it; the noshun of the old texts meant young reed shoots.
