黃秋葵 Okra

Okra is the ridged pod of an annual in the mallow family, picked while still tender. Sliced open, it draws threads of mucilage, and it is the same vegetable as the okra in the crop guide. It arrived from Africa in modern times and does not appear in the Donguibogam.
