羊蹄根 소리쟁이뿌리 (양제근)

  1. 性寒, 味苦辛, 無毒一云有小毒.

    Its nature is cold, the taste bitter and pungent, and it is non-toxic—though one source notes slight toxicity.

  2. 主頭禿疥癬疽痔, 女子陰蝕浸淫.

    It chiefly treats baldness, scabies and ringworm, abscesses and hemorrhoids, and oozing erosive sores in women's genital areas.

  3. 殺諸蟲.

    It also kills various parasitic worms.

  4. 療蠱毒, 付腫毒.

    It cures gu poisoning, and is pounded and applied directly to swellings and boils.

  5. 處處有之. 《本草》

    It grows everywhere. From the Bencao.

  6. The fruit.

  7. 性平, 味苦澁, 無毒.

    The fruit is neutral in nature, with a bitter and astringent taste, and is non-toxic.

  8. 主赤白痢. 《本草》

    It primarily treats red-and-white dysentery. From the Bencao.

  9. 一名金蕎麥. 《入門》

    It is also called golden buckwheat (jin qiao mai), so named for its resemblance to buckwheat. From the Yimen.

  10. The leaves.

  11. 治小兒疳蟲, 可作菜食之. 《本草》

    It treats childhood worm-induced malnutrition; the leaves may be served as a cooked vegetable. From the Bencao.

  12. 酸摸 승아

    Suanmo, known in Korean as seung-a, the wild sorrel.

  13. 性凉, 味酸, 無毒.

    Its nature is cool, the taste sour, and it is non-toxic.

  14. 治小兒壯熱.

    It calms the sudden high fevers that flare up in young children.

  15. 折其英, 可生食之, 或取汁服.

    Snap off the tender shoots and chew them raw, or press out the juice and drink it.

  16. 似羊蹄而細, 味酸可食. 《本草》

    It resembles yangti but with slimmer leaves; the sour taste makes it pleasant to eat as is. From the Bencao.
