昨葉荷草 Rock Pine (Wason)
Related Crop · Rock Pine (Wason) →
Jagyeophacho is a succulent that takes root on old tiled roofs, the bawisol of the crop guide. Seen from a distance it looks like a miniature pine, which gave it the second name wasong, 'roof-tile pine.' The Donguibogam had it gathered in the sixth and seventh months and dried in the sun.

HomiclubToday it is called bawi-sol. With tiled roofs now rare, it is found instead on bare rock, stone walls, and old boundary walls. It is a thick-leaved stonecrop relative that builds a rosette for several years, then sends up a single flowering stalk and dies.
