皂莢子 Juyeomnamu Ssi (주엽나무 씨)
Johyeopja is the seed inside the pod of the Chinese honey locust. The pod itself lathers in water and long served as soap for laundry, while the seed was set apart for uses of its own. The text says the seed was buried in embers to roast, then the kernel chewed.

疏導五藏風熱壅滯. 又入治肺藥, 療大腸風秘. 炮核, 取中心嚼餌, 治膈痰呑酸. 《本草》
It opens and guides out wind-heat blocked in the five viscera. It is also put into medicines that treat the lung and treats pungbi (風秘, wind constipation) of the large intestine. Roast the seed in ash embers, take the inner flesh and chew it down, and it treats phlegm at the diaphragm and sour risings. 《Boncho (本草)》
HomiclubJohyeopja is the seed inside the pod of the Korean honey locust. Its coat is so hard that the inner flesh could be taken out only after roasting the seed in ash embers.
