龍膽 Gwanampeul (과남플)

Yongdam is the root of gentian, the perennial that opens deep blue-violet flowers in autumn. The root is as bitter as gall, which is where the name — dragon's gall — comes from. It was commonly called choryongdam and recorded in Korean as gwanampeul.
