小麥奴 Mil Gambogi (밀 감보기)
Somaengno is the black smut that settles on a wheat ear. Before the grain fills, the head turns to sooty powder instead of kernels, and that powder was collected; it is the fungus now known as wheat smut. The Donguibogam lists it in the grain section under the old Korean name mil gambogi.
