Yukgye is the thick inner bark of the cinnamon tree, left once the rough outer layer is scraped away. Purple-toned, heavy pieces were rated best. The Woods section separates gyepi, gyesim, and yukgye by where on the trunk the bark was taken and how thick it is.

  1. 能補腎, 宜入治藏及下焦藥, 入手足少陰經.

    It can supplement the sin (腎, kidney), suits being added to medicines that treat the viscera and the lower burner, and enters the hand and foot soeum channels.
