皂角刺 Juyeomnamu Gasi (주엽나무 가시)
Jogakja is the large thorn on a honey locust trunk, from the same tree that gives the pod called johyeop. The entry records the alternate name cheonjeong. Donguibogam's wood section keeps this tree's thorn, pod and seed as three separate entries.

一名天丁. 凡癰疽未破者, 能開竅, 已破者, 能引藥達瘡處, 乃諸惡瘡及癘風要藥也. 《入門》
Another name for it is cheonjeong. For an ongjeo (癰疽, deep abscess) not yet burst it can open an outlet, and for one already burst it can lead medicine to the sore, so it is an essential medicine for various malignant sores and for yeopung (癘風, leprous wind). 《Immun (入門)》
HomiclubJogakja is the thorn borne on the trunk and thick branches of the Korean honey locust. A clue for recognizing the tree is that each thorn branches into smaller side thorns, and it comes from the same tree that yields the pods called johyeop.
