  1. 取瓜蔞根作粉, 如葛粉法. 虛熱人食之甚佳, 止渴生津. 《本草》

    Take the gwaru root and make it into a powder, by the same method as galbun (葛粉, kudzu starch). For a person with vacuity heat it is very fine to eat, stopping thirst and engendering fluids. 《Boncho (本草)》

    HomiclubGrinding the root, suspending it in water, and drying the settled sediment is the same route by which kudzu or potato starch is obtained. That is why the text takes kudzu starch as its yardstick.
