蔥豉酒 Pa Dusi Sul (파 두시 술)

Chongsiju is wine brewed with scallion (蔥) and fermented soybean (豉); the name is simply its two ingredients strung together. Rather than give the method, the text points to the Cold chapter of the Miscellaneous Disorders book.

  1. 和解風寒, 出汗, 治傷寒.

    It harmonizes and resolves wind-cold, brings out sweat, and treats sanghan (傷寒, cold damage).

    HomiclubChongsiju is liquor steeped with scallion (蔥) and si (豉), fermented soybean. Si is boiled soybean left to ferment and then dried — the same thing as douchi in Chinese cooking.

    The formula appears in the hanmun (寒門, cold-damage chapter).
