白粱米 Huin Nyangmi (흰 냥미)

Baengnyangmi is the hulled white grain of ryang, the large-kerneled sort of foxtail millet; the old gloss writes it huin nyangmi. The grain section of Donguibogam sorted this millet by color, filing white, yellow and green varieties side by side.

  1. 性微寒, 味甘, 無毒. 主除熱益氣. 《本草》

    Its nature is slightly cold, its taste sweet, and it is non-toxic. It chiefly removes heat and augments qi. 《Boncho (本草)》

    HomiclubBaengnyangmi is the milled white grain of the large-grained yang millet. The old Korean gloss reads huin nyangmi, and it stands beside the blue-green and yellow kinds, the three divided by colour.
