赤檉 Wiseongnyu (위성류)
Jeokjeong is a small willow-like tree of stream banks, red in the stem and fine in the leaf, also called jeongnyu, 'red willow'. The text records the alias usa, 'rain master'. It is generally taken to be the tamarisk, and the Donguibogam lists it in the tree section.

一名雨師. 今河邊小楊, 莖赤葉細. 所謂赤柳, 主疥癬及一切惡瘡. 《本草》
Another name for it is usa. It is the small willow now found by streams, with a red stem and fine leaves. It is what is called jeongnyu, and it chiefly treats gaeseon (疥癬, scabies and ringworm) and every kind of malignant sore. 《Boncho (本草)》
HomiclubJeokjeong is taken to mean the tree known today as wiseongnyu, the tamarisk. A tamarisk-family tree of watersides and saline ground, its leaves are so tiny and scale-like that it looks at a glance like a conifer, and in Korea it is grown as a planted tree.
