藍澱 Jjok Yeomsaekdok Geopum (쪽 염색독 거품)
Namjeon is the froth skimmed off an indigo dye vat and left to set. Purple-blue in cast, it stands beside cheongdae, another product of the same dye plant. It is a case of a dyeing byproduct entering the text as an entry in its own right.

亦堪付熱惡腫, 蛇虺螫毒, 兼解諸毒及小兒丹熱.
It is also fit to be applied to hot malign swellings and to the venom of snakes and vipers, and it resolves the various toxins as well as scarlet fever heat in children.

This is the froth that floats on the surface of the dyeing vat, purplish-blue in color. Its action is the same as that of cheongdae. 《Boncho (本草)》
