紫檀香 자단향 (자단향)

  1. 性溫, 味辛, 無毒.

    Its nature is warm, its taste pungent, and it is non-toxic—gentle enough to warm the body without harm.

  2. 主惡毒, 風毒, 霍亂, 心腹痛, 中惡, 鬼氣.

    It treats malignant toxins, wind toxins, sudden cholera-like upheavals, pain in the chest and abdomen, and what the old texts called 'evil airs'—a range of acute, distressing symptoms.

  3. 一名紫眞檀. 《本草》

    It is also called jajindan, as recorded in the Bencao.

  4. 我國江原道多有之. 《俗方》

    In our country it grows abundantly in Gangwon Province, according to the Sokbang.
