地衣 해인잇기 (지의)

Original, read line by line 東醫寶鑑 · 탕액편 권3

1. 性冷, 微毒,

   성랭, 미독,

   Its nature is cold and it carries a slight toxicity.

2. 主卒心痛, 中惡.

   주졸심통, 중악.

   It treats sudden chest pain and the so-called 'struck-by-evil' collapse from malign influences.

3. 此陰濕地, 被日曬, 起苔蘚, 是也.

   차음습지, 피일쇄, 기태선, 시야.

   It is the moss that springs up where damp, shaded ground gets touched by sunlight.

4. 大抵苔之類也.

   대저태지류야.

   Broadly speaking, it belongs to the moss family.

5. 生屋則謂之屋遊ㆍ瓦苔,

   생옥즉위지옥유ㆍ와태,

   When it grows on a roof it is called okyu or wa-tae (roof-moss, tile-moss).

6. 在垣墻則謂之垣衣ㆍ土馬騣,

   재원장즉위지원의ㆍ토마종,

   When clinging to a wall it is called won-ui or toma-jong (wall-coat, earth-horse-mane).

7. 在地則謂之地衣,

   재지즉위지지의,

   When it lies on bare ground it is called ji-yi (earth-coat).

8. 在井則謂之井苔,

   재정즉위지정태,

   When it forms inside a well it is called jeong-tae (well-moss).

9. 在水中石上則謂之陟釐. 《本草》

   재수중석상즉위지척리. 《본초》

   And when it grows on stones underwater it is called cheok-ri. From the Bencao.

10. 井中苔

    정중태

    [Jeong-jung-tae — moss from inside a well]

11. 性大寒.

    성대한.

    Its nature is intensely cold.

12. 主熱瘡漆瘡水腫. 《本草》

    주열창칠창수종. 《본초》

    It treats heat sores, lacquer-rash, and dropsical swelling. From the Bencao.

13. 屋遊

    옥유

    [Ok-yu — moss from the roof]

14. 止渴, 利小腸, 膀胱氣.

    지갈, 이소장, 방광기.

    It quenches thirst and eases the qi of the small intestine and bladder.

15. 性寒, 味甘.

    성한, 미감.

    Its nature is cold and its taste is sweet.

16. 此古瓦屋上北陰靑苔也. 《本草》

    차고와옥상북음청태야. 《본초》

    It is the green moss that grows on the shaded north side of old tiled roofs. From the Bencao.
