  1. 性平一云溫, 味苦, 無毒.

    Its nature is neutral, though some say warm; the taste is bitter and it has no toxicity, making it safe for broad use.

  2. 主腰脚不遂, 麻痺疼痛, 赤白瀉痢.

    It treats paralysis and pain in the lower back and legs, as well as red or white dysentery, addressing both lower-body weakness and chronic intestinal disorders.

  3. 治中惡霍亂, 療疳䘌疥癬, 牙齒痛, 及目赤, 除風氣.

    It cures sudden colic and cholera-like vomiting, treats childhood malnutrition sores, scabies, ringworm, toothache, and bloodshot eyes, and dispels wind pathogens, serving as a versatile remedy inside and out.

  4. 似梓白皮, 不拘時月採. 《本草》

    It resembles the white bark of the catalpa tree and can be gathered at any time of year, according to the Bencao, making it a practical resource that farmers could harvest as needed.

  5. 我國惟濟州有之. 《俗方》

    According to the Sokbang, in our country it grows only on Jeju Island, likely because this tree favors the warmer southern climate.
