橡殼 Dotori Kkakjeongi (도토리 깍정이)
Sanggak is the cup that cradles an acorn, the scaly cap on the oak's fruit. It takes black dye readily, and was used to color cloth as well as hair and beards. It is the part left over when acorns are ground for jelly.

This is the du (斗), the cup itself.
HomiclubThe kkakjeongi is the little cup-shaped husk that wraps the base of an acorn. Rich in tannin, it dyes deeply dark, and people once boiled it to color cloth and hair.

止腸風, 崩中帶下, 冷熱瀉痢.
It stops jangpung (腸風, intestinal wind bleeding), bungjung daeha (崩中帶下, flooding and vaginal discharge), and diarrhea and dysentery of both cold and hot kinds.

It serves well for dyeing black, and it also dyes the beard and hair to make them dark. 《Boncho (本草)》
