紅麴酒 Honggukju (홍국주)
Hongguk-ju is liquor brewed with red yeast rice, a starter made by culturing rice with a red mold. The same starter stands behind Chinese red rice wine and fermented red bean curd. The Dongui Bogam records it as intensely hot in nature and holding poison.
