  1. 名蒚麻, 可作浴湯. 道家以此香浴, 去尸蟲. 又合香. 《本草》

    It is called yeongma (蒚麻), and can be made into a bathing decoction. Daoist practitioners bathed in this fragrance to expel sichung (尸蟲, corpse worms). It is also blended into incense. 《Boncho (本草)》

    HomiclubAngelica leaves divide into three large segments, and the leaf-stalk base swells into a sheath that clasps the stem. The leaves carry the same strong aroma as the root, which is why they were used for bath water and incense.
