  1. 名鷰覆子, 木通實也. 莖名木通, 又名通草.

    It is called yeonbokja, and it is the fruit of moktong. The stem is called moktong, and also tongcho.

    HomiclubWhen the akebia fruit ripens in autumn its rind splits lengthwise to expose the white pulp. Sweet-tasting, it was gathered and eaten in the mountains as a native Korean fruit, and is packed with small black seeds.

  2. 七八月採, 性寒, 味甘. 主胃熱反胃. 除三焦客熱, 利大小便, 寬心止渴. 《本草》

    It is gathered in the seventh or eighth month; its nature is cold and its taste sweet. It governs stomach heat and banwi (反胃, stomach reflux). It removes visiting heat from the samcho (三焦, triple burner), frees the stool and urine, loosens the chest, and quenches thirst. 《Boncho (本草)》
