王不留行 댱고새 (왕불류행)

Original, read line by line 東醫寶鑑 · 탕액편 권3

1. 性平, 味苦甘, 無毒.

   성평, 미고감, 무독.

   Its nature is neutral, its taste both bitter and sweet, and it has no toxicity, making it gentle enough for broad use.

2. 主金瘡止血, 逐痛, 出刺.

   주금창지혈, 축통, 출자.

   It treats wounds from metal blades, stops bleeding, drives out pain, and draws out splinters lodged in the flesh.

3. 治衄血癰疽惡瘡, 祛風毒, 通血脉, 療婦人血經不勻, 及難産.

   치뉵혈옹저악창, 거풍독, 통혈맥, 료부인혈경불균, 급난산.

   It treats nosebleeds, abscesses, and malignant sores, expels wind-toxin, opens the blood vessels, and remedies irregular menstruation and difficult childbirth in women.

4. 在處有之.

   재처유지.

   It grows in many places and can be found readily here and there.

5. 葉似菘藍, 花紅白色, 子殼似酸漿, 實圓黑似菘子如黍粟.

   엽사숭람, 화홍백색, 자각사산장, 실원흑사숭자여서속.

   Its leaves resemble those of woad, its flowers are red and white, the seed husks resemble groundcherry, and the fruits are round and black like cabbage seeds, the size of millet.

6. 五月採苗莖, 曬乾.

   오월채묘경, 쇄건.

   In the fifth lunar month its shoots and stems are gathered and dried in the sun.

7. 根莖花子, 幷通用.

   근경화자, 병통용.

   The root, stem, flower, and seed are all used together without distinction.

   《본초》

9. 一名剪金花, 一名金盞銀臺.

   일명전금화, 일명금잔은대.

   It is also called Jianjinhua (cut-gold flower) or Jinzhanyintai (gold cup, silver stand), names drawn from the look of its blossoms.

10. 子治淋最有效.

    자치림최유효.

    Its seeds are most effective in treating strangury, the painful and incomplete passing of urine.
