李核仁 오얏씨 (이핵인)

  1. 性平, 味苦, 無毒.

    성평, 미고, 무독.

    Plum kernel is neutral in nature, bitter in taste, and non-toxic.

  2. 主踒折骨痛肉傷.

    주왜절골통육상.

    It primarily treats sprains, fractures with bone pain, and injured flesh.

  3. 利小腸, 下水腫.

    이소장, 하수종.

    It promotes small-intestine flow and drains edema downward.

  4. 治面䵟.

    치면간.

    It is also used to treat dark blotches on the face.

  5. 處處有之, 六七月採, 取仁, 湯泡去皮尖, 硏用.

    처처유지, 육칠월채, 취인, 탕포거피첨, 연용.

    It grows everywhere; harvested in the sixth or seventh lunar month, the kernels are taken out, scalded to remove the skin and pointed tip, then ground for use.

  6. 解核如杏子者, 佳. 《本草》

    해핵여행자자, 가. 《본초》

    Those whose split kernel resembles an apricot pit are considered best. From the Bencao.

  7. 根白皮

    근백피

    Root bark — the inner white bark of the root, used separately as medicine.

  8. 性大寒一云涼, 味苦, 無毒.

    성대한일운량, 미고, 무독.

    Its nature is very cold — some say merely cool — bitter in taste, and non-toxic.

  9. 止消渴.

    지소갈.

    It quenches wasting-thirst disorder.

  10. 主奔豚氣逆.

    주분돈기역.

    It treats running-piglet qi that surges upward from the lower abdomen.

  11. 治熱毒煩躁, 療齒痛, 及赤白痢赤白帶.

    치열독번조, 요치통, 급적백리적백대.

    It treats heat-toxin irritability, toothache, and red or white dysentery as well as red and white vaginal discharge.

  12. 灸黃色, 水煮服. 《本草》

    구황색, 수자복. 《본초》

    Roast until yellow, decoct in water, and drink. From the Bencao.

  13. Leaf — also used separately as medicine.

  14. 治小兒驚癎, 熱瘧.

    치소아경간, 열학.

    It treats fright epilepsy in children and febrile malaria.

  15. 可作浴湯. 《本草》

    가작욕탕. 《본초》

    It may also be made into a medicinal bath. From the Bencao.

  16. Fruit — the plum itself, also used as medicine.

  17. 卽李子也.

    즉이자야.

    This refers to the plum fruit itself.

  18. 味甘美者可啖, 味苦者入藥.

    미감미자가담, 미고자입약.

    The sweet and tasty ones may be eaten, while the bitter ones are used as medicine.

  19. 除骨節間勞熱及痼熱, 益氣.

    제골절간노열급고열, 익기.

    It removes taxation heat between the joints and chronic heat, and tonifies qi.

  20. 但不可多食. 《本草》

    단불가다식. 《본초》

    However, it should not be eaten in excess. From the Bencao.
