Yasan is wild chive, the same crop as dallae in the guide, the spring green dropped into doenjang stew or dressed with soy sauce. It looks like garlic but far finer and smaller, and Donguibogam notes that people dug it from fields and open ground.

  1. 性味功用, 略與小蒜同.

    Its nature, taste, and use are roughly the same as those of sosan (小蒜).

    HomiclubYasan is dallae, a perennial allium dug in early spring from field edges and low hills, leaf and small bulb together. The old Korean gloss under the heading reads dallanggoe, the name that carries through to today's dallae.

    It grows abundantly in fields and open country, resembling garlic but extremely slender and small, and people dig it and eat it. 《Sokbang (俗方)》
